JOHANNES HEVELIUS - Moon Map 1647

Johannes Hevelius Moon Map, 1647. Was a councillor and mayor of Gdańsk (Danzig), in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Today he is remembered as the founder of lunar topography. A large crater on the edge of the Ocean of Storms bears his name.
